KMDA is pleased to announce the recent addition of Russell Weisbard, RA, as the newest attorney to KMDA
Kelly M. Davis & Associates, LLC is pleased to introduce you to our new Associate Attorney Russell N. Weisbard. Russell will be in our newly remodeled addition located in Lewisville, Texas. Russell is a perfect complement to our firm, and we are excited to apply Russell’s knowledge as a Registered Architect to expand the firm’s practice areas to include the comprehensive assistance to the Architectural community.
Mr. Weisbard has practiced law in Texas since 2017. His practice primarily focuses on construction defect and contract dispute litigation, as well as drafting contracts for design and construction industry participants. His experience includes representation of architects, project owners, and contractors in construction defect and contract
dispute actions, as well as other civil matters. Mr. Weisbard will be advising KMDA clients in the areas of construction and general litigation, business transactions, and probate matters.
“Mr. Weisbard brings to the Firm experience with design and construction that is incredibly helpful for a construction law firm. His architectural background is extremely diverse, providing an ideal addition for our Firm’s clientele. I believe it is this combination of architectural and legal knowledge that has given him a unique set of problem-solving skills. So far, during his time here, his collaborative and empathetic attitudes toward our clients have positively impacted their cases,” says the Owner of the Firm, Kelly Davis.
He initially graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies, followed by a Master of Architecture degree also from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In 2005 he passed all nine sections of the Architectural Registration Examination, each on the first attempt. In total, he spent more than a decade practicing architecture, working on design projects that included commercial, hospitality, institutional, medical, office, residential, and tenant finish-out building types. Then, in 2012, he went back to school, earning a Juris Doctorate from Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
Russell enjoys camping, cooking, and woodworking. Visits to Big Bend National Park are highlights of his camping and hiking experiences, and he hopes to summit Guadalupe Peak – the “top of Texas” – in the near future. Russell also plans to build a proper dining room table to fit his large family, for whom he loves to cook.
